چکیده

Supercritical and trans-critical carbon dioxide cycles are widely used for refrigerators, heat pumps power plants, of which the exchangers key components. This article presents a critical review cooled supercritical (SCO2) flows, within CO 2 is close to its point thus likely experience transfer deterioration or enhancement due dramatical change thermo-physical properties. First, SCO2 features were highlighted. Second, characteristics in analysed detail, including experiment, CFD simulation, dynamic response, design exchanger. Third, was summarized. An approach representing transport property constants versus temperature proposed, methods may be potentially applicable exchanger assessed selected according performance evaluation criterion efficiency as well MATLAB optimization. It demonstrated that polynomial Gaussian probability density function can reflect variation with mathematically thermal response analysis. When cooling works at Reynolds numbers R e = 1 .9 × 10 4 -2.55 5 , protrusion, rough element twisted tape insert approaches nano-coating more suitable SCO2, but numerical experimental confirmation desirable. A preliminary guidance design, optimization experiment project offered. • The literature on reviewed. Heat enhancements assessed. method standing properties proposed. Protrusion, inserts SCO2.

Nanofluids for Heat Transfer Enhancement – A Review

A nanofluid is a dilute liquid suspension of particles with at least one critical dimension smaller than ~100 nm. Research works so far suggest that nanofluids offer excellent heat transfer enhancement over conventional base fluids. The enhancement depends on several factors such as particle shape, particle size distribution, volume fraction of nanoparticles, temperature, pH, and thermal conduc...

Determination of Heat Transfer Coefficients During In-Tube Gas Cooling of Supercritical Carbon Dioxide

The world-wide agreement to restrict the use of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) and hydrofluorocarbons has prompted recent research exploring the possibilities of replacement refrigerants, particularly those occurring naturally in the environment. One such natural refrigerant, carbon dioxide, has been shown for particular applications to have a COP which is competitive with current refrigerants. How...

In-tube cooling heat transfer of supercritical carbon dioxide. Part 1. Experimental measurement

Heat transfer of supercritical carbon dioxide cooled in circular tubes was investigated experimentally. The effect of mass flux, pressure, and heat flux on the heat transfer coefficient and pressure drop was measured for four horizontal cooling tubes with different inner diameters ranging from 1 to 6 mm. The radial distribution of the thermophysical properties (i.e. specific heat, density, ther...
